～Bridge for International Exchanges～ Invitation to the 3rd Japanese Speech Contest for International Students

Osaka City University (OCU), Osaka Prefecture University (OPU) and Kansai University (KU) will hold their 3rd Japanese Speech Contest for international students at Osaka City University on Sunday, 17 November. These three universities signed an agreement on 6 November, 2008 to increase the number of mutual exchanges as universities located in the Osaka metropolitan area. A speech contest for international students is one such way.?
Nine international students from the three universities will give a five-minute speech under the theme “Exchange Experiences with Different Cultures”. The speeches will be judged on their content, expressions, etc. Awards will first be given on an individual level and the university with the most individual award points will be awarded in the group division.
This contest aims to motivate students at each university to learn from and deepen their understanding of students, including international ones, from other universities. Anyone is welcome to come see the contest.??
